The central objective of Amazon\'s global operations employee relations team is to ensure our organisation\'s treatment of employees is fair, respectful, and consistent with our framework of core business values and objectives. To support that objective, this position\'s responsibilities fall into proactive and reactive categories, focused on providing exceptional employee experience.You will have deep subject matter knowledge, exceptional communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally on a wide range of employee relations initiatives.This is a highly visible and varied role with common interactions with senior leadership. The successful candidate will influence decision making and direct the business into the future.This role will involve approximately 50% travel.Key job responsibilitiesAdvocating for the best interests of associates and assist in building long-term relationships across diverse teamsPartner and influence Site Leaders when necessary to ensure a positive associate experiencePartner with Site Leaders and HR teams to create and sustain positive employee relations programs and best practices tailored to business needsAdapting global tools and programs to fit the Australian environmentConduct and collaborate on positive employee relations trainings and communicationsDesign, collect, and analyse multiple levels of associate feedbackWork with other stakeholders to implement systems and processes for identifying potential issues before they become problemsAnalyse, diagnose, design, and revise people programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive employee relationsSupporting Operations and HR with Case Management escalationsAssist and drive large scale, country-wide projects that improve the associate experienceBasic QualificationsBachelor\'s degree or equivalentSignificant experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment lawExperience analyzing metrics and assessing employee sentiment data to find root causes and develop short-, medium- and long-term plansExperience with MS Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint, and ability to become proficient in HTMLAn understanding of the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and other State and Federal lawsPreferred QualificationsExperience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teamsExperience in a fast paced, dynamic organizationExperience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentHigh-quality judgment and sound decision-makingAcknowledgement of countryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
