Our Italian office is growing rapidly, offering immediate and accessible career opportunities.Role Description As a Linux & Data Platform Administrator (SAS Environment Support) you will administer, configure and evolve SAS environments (SAS 9.x and Viya) for clients in the Financial Services sector. You’ll work on Linux/Unix systems supporting SAS workloads, handling package installation, service configuration, environment checks, scripting and performance troubleshooting. You’ll collaborate with architects, developers, DBAs and security teams to integrate SAS with databases, infrastructure components and enterprise ecosystems.The role requires solid technical foundations, autonomy in day‑to‑day operations and effective communication within cross‑functional teams.Support operational activities for SAS platforms (SAS 9.x, Viya)Perform system administration tasks on Linux/Unix environmentsCollaborate on integrations with DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)Participate in troubleshooting, incident analysis, and performance investigationsSupport updates, patching, and configuration activitiesContribute to documentation, environment verification, and testing processesWork closely with project teams to ensure smooth platform operationsSkills And ExperienceSolid knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and system administrationFamiliarity with Windows Server environmentsUnderstanding of DBMS concepts and experience interacting with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)Knowledge of networking principles, system security, and infrastructure componentsAbility to troubleshoot issues and contribute to problem analysisTeam‑oriented mindset and willingness to expand technical expertiseDegree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related STEM fieldsNice To HaveExperience working with Linux in enterprise or consulting environmentsExposure to virtualization or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Scripting experience (Shell, Python, PowerShell)Certifications or structured training in OS, DBMS or Cloud technologiesInitial familiarity with SAS platforms (SAS 9, Viya)Why join Capco?
