Job Overview We are looking to hire an ICQA Area Manager to be part of our fulfillment center Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. Our fulfillment centers sit at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing operations network, where we manage fast‑moving inventory through stowing, picking, packaging, and shipping. These high‑speed, high‑reward environments demand strict adherence to policies and procedures, and you will lead a team to ensure reliability for our customers while championing customer obsession. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of hourly associates including team leads and a data analyst across inventory control, quality assurance, and problem‑solve operations. Support safety programs and ensure compliance to maintain a safe work environment for all associates. Coordinate inventory control, quality assurance, and problem‑solve operations in alignment with network strategies and SOX compliance. Conduct shift planning and forecasting, assign and direct work, and oversee projects to streamline processes, increase quality, and optimize productivity. Review KPIs daily, weekly, or monthly and perform quality analysis on behaviors or processes that may impact inventory integrity and customer experience. Drive continuous improvement of key fulfillment center process paths and exception handling in partnership with operations management. Interview, train, and develop fulfillment center managers and associates, and support hiring of future managers. A Day in the Life You’ll work shifts at a fulfillment center, beginning with a team huddle to review the previous shift’s performance, set daily goals, and address ongoing issues. Throughout the shift, you’ll conduct inventory discrepancy analysis, oversee the resolution of receiving issues, coach team members on accuracy improvement, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. You’ll collaborate with partners in FC operations and central teams such as Catalogue, Procurement, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Loss Prevention, and Program Management. Quick, informed decisions will keep operations running smoothly, and you’ll spend time on the floor observing processes, coaching staff, ensuring safety standards, and developing team members. At shift end, you’ll prepare a handover summarizing key events, ongoing issues, and priorities, knowing you’ve contributed to maintaining inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction. Basic Qualifications A degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in operations management. Relevant experience in performing data analysis and understanding data sets and tools. Proficiency in the local language and English, both spoken and written. Advanced MS Office suite skills, especially Excel. Previous experience leading teams. Preferred Qualifications A resilient, focused problem‑solver and self‑starter who can multi‑task and prioritize in a complex environment. Strong commitment to employee development and exceptional dedication and motivation to team management. Proven ability to influence peers or stakeholders at varying levels of seniority within the Ops organization. Knowledge of and experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and techniques.
