YOUR ROLE
As a Firmware Robotics Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you will be involved in developing innovative solutions for autonomous robotic platforms, contributing to the design and integration of firmware and embedded software for advanced navigation, control, and automation systems. In this role, you will be a key element in the following activities:- Development of firmware and embedded software in C/C++ on STM32 platforms.
- Design and integration of autonomous robotic systems based on GPS-RTK, sensors, and actuators.
- Software development in Embedded Linux and Real Time Operating Systems environments.
- Debugging, testing, and software validation activities.
- Preparation of technical documentation, analysis, and test plans.
- Support for continuous improvement of processes, tools, and software quality.
YOUR CHARACTERISTICS
Methodologies: experience in structured software development contexts, preferably embedded and/or industrial, with the use of Agile methodologies Capgemini DNA: Trust and Team Spirit Technical skills:- Excellent knowledge of C/C++ and embedded firmware development.
- Experience with STM32 platforms.
- Knowledge of Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, or Yocto.
- Experience or familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Knowledge of control protocols and systems such as: CAN Bus, GPS / GPS-RTK, IMU, Electric Motors
- Experience with versioning and development tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Bitbucket
- Experience in debugging and software validation activities
- Knowledge of embedded architectures and real-time systems.
- Experience in GUI development using Qt / Qt Creator
- Knowledge of FMEA/FMECA methodologies
- Experience in developing robotic and autonomous systems
- Knowledge of continuous integration processes and test automation.
