Senior Project Lead – M&A Transactions in Renewable Energies (Solar PV, BESS, Onshore Wind) EMEAItaly and 3 moreTrendingJob DescriptionUL Solutions is looking for a Senior Project Lead to lead and manage impactful projects and transactions within our Due Diligence team, capable of handling multi technology transactions (Solar, BESS and Onshore Wind) across the EMEA region.As a Senior Project Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the success of renewable energy initiatives by:Leading and executing complex due diligence projects including solar PV, BESS and onshore wind technologies.Preparing competitive proposals that align with client needs and industry standards.Building strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the Due Diligence team, the candidate handles managing and executing independent engineering and technical advisory services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of renewable energy technologies including onshore wind, solar PV and BESS.Lead and execute technical due diligence for onshore wind, solar, and BESS projects, covering site assessments, technology reviews, design evaluations, contract analysis, and financial modeling review among others.Produce comprehensive TDD reports, integrating inputs from multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring consistency and high-quality standards across all sections.Conduct site visits as required compiling reports to assess progress against specifications, budgets, and schedules.Prepare project proposals outlining scope, team, budget, and timelines, and manage internal and external resources to meet deliverables.Serve as primary client interface, attending meetings, fostering relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs.Support team development and strategy, mentoring staff, applying best practices, identifying risks, and contributing to business growth.Qualifications8–10+ years of experience in project management across renewable energy sectors, including due diligence, development, construction, operations, and M&A.Proven track record with utility-scale projects, including site assessments, design reviews, contract evaluations, and financial modeling.Strong technical knowledge and understanding of wind, solar PV, and BESS systems, especially Balance of Plant (BOP) components, technologies, and key performance indicators.Deep understanding of local markets, with strong connections to key industry stakeholders.Resilient and adaptable team player, capable of managing multiple complex projects under pressure and tight deadlines.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement and reporting at senior levels.Risk-aware and solution-oriented, able to anticipate challenges and implement effective mitigation strategies.Educational background in mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, environmental engineering, construction management, operations and maintenance, commercial, legal, and finance. A ,Master's in Renewable Energy-related aspects is considered a plus.Multilingual and tech-savvy, fluent in English with additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Italian, Polish), highly valued; proficient in Microsoft Office and open to new digital tools and solutions.What we offer:Total Rewards: We understand that rewards are an important consideration as you plan the next step in your career. Salary range varies by location and local market conditions (for Poland, the salary range for this position is PLN 193,000 - 257,300 gross/month). It is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 10% of base salary.
