Financial Lines Underwriter – Municipalities and Legal Expenses, Italy Company: AIG | Location: Milan, Lombardy, ItalyEmployment type: Full‑timeSeniority level: Entry levelJob function: Finance and SalesIndustry: Insurance ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite new and renewal business to drive the profitable growth of Financial Lines, Munis & Legal Expenses. Assess the desirability of risk through regular contact with brokers, close coordination with AIG subject matter experts, and robust reviews of claims history and general company information. Build and maintain strong broker relationships, provide excellent service through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting, and generate new business by expanding the broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market in line with a sales plan established with your manager. Provide accurate monthly management information, including submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium.QualificationsSome underwriting experience is preferred; however, you are welcome to apply if you have other relevant professional experience. Ability to analyze financial statements. Strong communication, networking and relationship‑building skills. Good organizational and time‑management skills.
