Job Description AECOM is seeking highly motivated Remediation Engineer with specific experience in design, installation, operation and maintenance of remediation systems for contaminated soil & groundwater. Our teams work on complex remediation projects, pulling the right resources from across the company to support project needs. Responsibilities Contribute to overseeing remediation projects from beginning to completion; Support in managing and developing remediation proposals and projects covering all environmental aspects, associated regulations, and staffing requirements; Conduct remedial alternatives analysis; Oversee project budget and cost-benefit analyses; Coordinate and appoint subcontractors; Implement remediation proposals and handle all technical aspects; Perform generic and detailed quantitative risk assessment; Carry out site work, including setup and commissioning of treatment systems; Ensure all parties meet compliance with environmental regulations; Obtain necessary permits involved in the remediation project; Train staff on how to use and implement remediation systems; Compile technical reports, daily logs, and soil water and chemical audits; Build sustainable relationships to meet our business development goals; Contribute to continuous improvement of our services and team by evaluating project successes and challenges and sharing lessons learned to enhance performance within the business; Apply and encourage a high level of health and safety awareness and quality management at all times; Ensure effective communication with the project team and clients. Other activities may include setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications, and maintaining proper project documentation. Qualifications 5+ years of related experience; Fluency in Italian and English; Technically skilled to perform process-oriented and sampling tasks; Demonstrable ability to keep up to date with the latest legislation and compliance requirements; Flexible approach and ability to change direction when required; Motivated individual with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with the initiative to complete tasks; Excellent planning, organizational skills, and time management; Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits; A background in Industry is advantageous, as well as experience in the Consulting sector; Licensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential).
