Among the European leaders in Enterprise Risk Management and Wealth & Asset Management solutions, Prometeia is looking for a Cloud Native Engineer to join the Cloud Team in its Milan, Bologna and Rome office.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidates will take part of the Cloud&Platforms Practice, responsible for the Prometeia group of Cloud services and platforms enabling the SaaS offering to the market.

The candidate will operate and will ensure the correct execution of all workloads on the reference cloud hyperscale’s platforms, such as AWS and Azure.

He/she:

• Will collaborate in the design and implementation of cloud applications and in application migration, evolution and modernization projects and supports the deployment and release of applications.
• Will configure, maintain and evolve for continuous improvement of service levels the native operations tools of the main cloud hyperscale platforms and any third-party solutions in a multi-cloud perspective for monitoring, observability, performance, capacity, cost optimization, etc.
• Will Develop in Platform Engineering & Operations the implementation and maintenance of toolchains, automation tools and DevOps pipelines.
• He/she may also be involved in internal product and solution development projects and on customer projects, including international projects. As an integral member of the team, he/she will be encouraged to maintain and evolve his/her skills in an ever-changing environment, to follow market innovations and solutions to improve and experiment with new ways and provide customers with ever higher levels of service and quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding of Cloud Native technologies, including Containerization, orchestration with Kubernetes (K8s), serverless architecture, event driven and microservices patterns, data/AI cloud services and pattern architecture
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash and/or Python), and Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices and IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, K8s Operators, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Nexus, Azure DevOps
• Understading and basic knowledge of cloud native operating models, aligned with IaC, SecOps practices, Platform Engineering practices
• Understanding and basic knowledge of day-2 operations: Monitoring and Observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, AWS Cloudwatch, Datadog, Log Management services
• Practical knowledge of major public Cloud platforms, with experience in at least one of the following: Microsoft Azure (Compute, Storage, AKS, Entra, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics), Amazon Web Services (AWS): (Lamba, Step Function, ECS, CloudWatch, S3, API gateway, AWS Networking)
• Knowledge of configuration and basic administration on data platforms and services, databases (SQL) and NoSQL technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, AWS Glue, …) and data & analytics plarforms (e.g. Databricks)
