Overview The role is reporting directly to the Maintenance & Reliability Leader. The Automation Specialist will develop the strategy of the industrial automation operating systems of the site to optimize utilization of resources and increase reliability of the production lines. This role also has to carry out corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities of automation and instrumentation of the site, in order to guarantee good performance of the production lines, avoid unplanned downtimes and ensure safety procedures of the company compliance.Responsibilities Design, develop and improve strategy for automated industrial processes, systems and componentsEnsure high reliability in all automation systems of the industrial siteTroubleshooting, diagnosis and repair industrial automation systems to reduce unscheduled downtimesPerform preventive and predictive maintenance in industrial automation systemsCollaborate with other departments to ensure automation system reliability, standardization and safetySupport all the potential suppliers during field visits and scope definitionManagement of automation maintenance plans working closely with the Electrical Reliability SME and the Reliability Program OwnerPlan automation works of maintenance, operation and safety, including evaluation of technicians availability, spare parts, etc. to carry out the requested work; deal with technical specifications and request quotes and offers from multiple suppliers in the planning/feasibility phase of the activityAnalyze system performance and suggest modifications or upgradeDevelop and maintain technical documentation for industrial automation systemsCollaborate with Electrical Specialist and Electrical Coordinator to monitor the obsolescence of components and software; set spare parts strategyParticipate actively in continuous improvement initiatives (RCA, Kaizen, etc.)Qualifications High technical education on automation of production processesBackground: Engineering, Electrical, Automation, Computer Science or similar field3 – 5 years of experience as Automation Specialist / EngineerKnowledge PLC (Siemens-ABB), Scada, HMI, frequency drives, PI Vision, automation & programmingSolid understanding of computer programming and software developmentSolid understanding of electrical diagramStrong orientation to problem-solvingLanguage: English and German is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
