We design, manufacture and market sensors for the industrial automation industry; challenging applications like automation and protection of automatic doors, gates and accesses are currently being tackled with the development of the next generation of intelligent sensors.
You will contribute to the development of the next generation of intelligent sensors, combining advanced sensing technologies with Embedded AI and Machine Learning capabilities deployed directly at the edge.
As an Electronic Firmware Developer, you will work within the project team on new developments from A to Z, as member of an international team and in strong cooperation with our Competence Center in Denmark.
Your task will be to design structured embedded software for our sensors. You will work in an interdisciplinary team developing innovative sensing solutions across multiple technologies, including Time-of-Flight (ToF)/LiDAR, photoelectric and capacitive sensing. Your tasks are primarily coding and establishing optimal software architecture, where you can simultaneously help expand our software toolchain.
Embedded software development, primarily in C for 32-bit ARM
Development and optimization of intelligent sensing algorithms, including AI and Machine Learning-based solutions, for embedded sensor platforms
Helping to further develop our software architecture
Taking a driving role in expanding our software toolchain
Collaboration with hardware designers on system design and optimization
Actively participating in all project phases: specification, design, implementation, testing and debugging
Collaboration with Product Management on determining product requirements to ensure an optimal technical solution
You are a qualified engineer with at least 3 years of experience in firmware design
You are strong in C programming, and you have delivered software projects that are now running in the market
You have interest and experience in projects with the implementation of structured software architecture
You are interested in the borderland between software and hardware, as well as knowledge of different microprocessor types, typically 32-bit ARM
You have knowledge of, and/or interest in, other high-level coding languages, platforms, etc. Python, Linux, C#, Android, App development or similar
You have knowledge of implementing communication protocols, among others IO Link, Zigbee, MODBUS and dedicated industrial networks
You speak and write both Italian and English fluently, as we are part of an international group
You are a team player, motivated and thrive in a dynamic environment
