Sr. Global Commodity Manager , Amazon Development CenterRing is looking for passionate and creative candidates to join our operations team in Taipei.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop PCB, FPC commodity sourcing strategy and execute to best deliver to cost, supply, and innovation targetsLead commodity selection, contract negotiation and new supplier introduction process.Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technologyChallenges supply chain norms to generate out of the box opportunities for cost savings and supply chain optimization and implements as appropriateDevelop a commodity roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilitiesManage internal stakeholder relationship in driving component introductions, business alignment, key part selections, demand/supply, etc.Participate as a senior member on a cross-functional team (may lead specific projects)Meet with stakeholder managers to understand business priorities and translate them into procurement plans.Conduct regular business review with suppliers to ensure continuous improvementExecute risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operation strategiesDevelop and maintain relationships with executives and senior executives at suppliersWork closely with Engineering teams to support product development efforts, to influence sourcing decisions, meet customer expectations, technical capabilities, and program objectives; or define standard and custom product requirements.Basic Qualifications6+ years of related industry experience6+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience6+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experienceBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalentExperience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environmentsExperience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product companyExperience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementationPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companiesExperience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reductionExperience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partnersExperience practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)Inclusive CultureOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
