Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators) therefore have Space to Connect, Secure & Defend, Observe & Protect, Explore, Travel & Navigate.We are looking for a Satellite IVVQ RF ENGINEER.ResponsibilitiesTechnical requirements management – Knowledge of technical requirements management from specification tree to relationships between the various layers of a complex system (platform, payload, satellite, E2E). Familiarity with DOORS or Polarion, flow‑down concepts, traceability, change/deviation impact analysis and related documentation. Familiarity with ECSS standard and project development documentation.Verification Engineering – Differentiation between verification plans for qualification or acceptance, knowledge of various verification approaches in EM/EQM development models, QM qualification, PFM proto‑qualification, FM acceptance/flight. Definition of verification methods applicable to each requirement (SAR payload part, PDHT, TT&C). Familiarity with DOORS/Polarion and engineering practices for verification activities. Support management of internal and customer‑facing boards for verification validation.Test requirements and evaluation of results – Ability to define test requirements, test plan (TP) in SAR, PDHT, TT&C integrated satellite level, manage any changes. Participation in the test campaign, including overseas. Test validation with drafting of evaluation reports. Supporting completion and closure of the verification cycle.QualificationsEducation: Engineering Degree.Experience required in radiofrequency systems, particularly Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), on‑board image storage and transmission (PDHT), RF command and control (TT&C) systems, preferably in the satellite area.LocationRomeAbout UsAt Thales Alenia Space we provide careers, not just jobs.
