About the role A packaging engineer has an active role in managing new NPI projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams with responsibilities in creating packaging specifications for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary items. Your responsibilitiesDesign and development experience : Create and develop packaging designs for new and existing products – including for E-commerce business. Material selection : Source and evaluate a variety of packaging materials with supplier’s support, considering factors like cost, sustainability, and performance. Specification and testing : Develop packaging specifications, conduct trials to ensure packaging meets all requirements and regulations. Cross-functional collaboration : Work with teams like marketing, Category, R&D, Quality and manufacturing to align packaging with product and shipping needs. Lead packaging material laboratory tests, packaging line trials and transport tests during implementation phase. Project management : Manage packaging projects, including timelines and budgets, from conception to production. Documentation : Maintain all packaging-related documentation and records. Identify and deliver packaging cost savings initiatives. Support Quality Team to improve consume experience and costumers requirements.The experience we're looking forAt least 3 years in Packaging business. Fluent in Italian and EnglishThe skills for successStrong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and testing procedures. Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
