Business Intelligence Engineer II, Alexa Endpoints We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team supporting product analytics for the Alexa Mobile App and the upcoming Alexa+ endpoints. You’ll be at the forefront of generative AI innovation. Alexa+ leverages large language models to deliver more natural, contextual conversations—going beyond traditional voice assistant experiences. Your analytics work will directly shape how we measure and improve this transformative AI product, from response quality and conversation coherence to customer engagement with AI-generated content. This is a unique opportunity to define the analytics foundation for a product reaching millions of customers. Key Job Responsibilities Data Infrastructure & Pipeline DevelopmentDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support Alexa+ analytics Create and optimize ETL processes for web interaction data, user engagement metrics, and product performance indicators Ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability across all reporting solutionsAnalytics & Insights DeliveryDevelop automated dashboards and reports tracking key metrics for Alexa+ endpoint performance. Define and track metrics specific to LLM‑powered interactions, including customer satisfaction. Build analytics frameworks to understand customers’ interaction with Alexa+ features Analyze user behavior patterns, engagement trends, and conversion funnels for Alexa interactions Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams to define and track KPIs Deliver actionable insights through clear visualizations and written analyses for both technical and non‑technical audiencesTechnical ExecutionUse development tools to accelerate SQL/Python development for automated insight generation and exploratory analytics Write efficient, maintainable SQL queries and data transformations Build and maintain datasets in Redshift and create compelling visualizations using QuickSight Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure reporting accuracy Document data models, pipelines, and analytical methodologiesAbout the TeamWork on Generative AI technology reaching millions of customers Collaborate with a talented team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and BI Engineers High impact role supporting a strategic new product initiative (Alexa+) Opportunity for growth and skill development in a fast‑paced environment Strong culture of mentorship, innovation, and operational excellenceBasic Qualifications3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modelingPreferred QualificationsExperience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large‑scale, complex datasetsOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
