Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.Key job responsibilitiesMeasure, validate, and perform root‑cause analysis on phased array systems and sub‑systemsInterface with standard RF equipment to enable automation and efficient data collectionCreate and/or modify new software features to enable testing of standard phased array system metrics such as EIRP, EVM, and G/TAct as a liaison with the Leo software team to drive new product requirements based on RF system test needsPerform end‑to‑end modeling, simulation, and analysis of digital phased array systemsExport Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Basic Qualifications5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience3+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experienceExperience with RF lab equipment including VNA, power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generatorsExperience with Hardware/Software system bring up and debuggingBS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in digital communication theory, digital signal processing, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas and Electromagnetic theoryPreferred QualificationsMS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of professional experience or PhD with 5+ years of professional experienceExperience in RF system design, line‑up analysis, digital modulation, radio architectureExperience with simulation tools such as SystemVue, ADS or LabViewExcellent mathematical and problem‑solving skillsHighly accurate and detail‑orientedAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.
