As Chef de Cuisine, reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be the creative and operational backbone of our kitchen, leading a talented team to deliver bold, flavorful, and unforgettable dining experiences that reflect both contemporary flair and authentic Italian craftsmanship. You will shape menus, drive culinary excellence, and ensure that every dish tells a story — one that keeps our guests coming back for more. What You’ll Be Doing • Lead daily kitchen operations and manage the culinary brigade with creativity, precision, and passion • Design, develop, and execute innovative menus aligned with W Rome’s culinary vision and brand identity • Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Chef Consultant Ciccio Sultano to translate creative concepts into consistent, high-quality dishes • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene across all kitchen outlets • Oversee food cost management, inventory control, and supplier relationships • Manage team scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and professional development • Monitor kitchen operations for efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety standards • Foster a positive, high-energy, and inclusive team environment that inspires excellence • Maintain strong communication with service teams to ensure a seamless guest dining experience • Contribute to the creation of seasonal specials, events, and collaborations that reflect W’s innovative spirit What We’re Looking For • Proven experience as Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef in a 5-star luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant • Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach • Excellent understanding of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, techniques, and ingredients • Creative flair balanced with solid operational and cost control skills • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure and precision • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills • Passion for mentoring and developing young culinary talent • Professional appearance and commitment to the highest standards of hygiene and safety This role requires standing, walking, and moving for extended periods, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
