In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS data-driven and AI solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on data architecture, AI/ML implementations, and generative AI solutions.Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Data and GenAI Architect you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure data platforms and AI solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You'll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current data infrastructure, and propose effective strategies for implementing modern data architectures and GenAI solutions on AWS.Key job responsibilitiesDesigning and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needsProviding technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project deliveryCollaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategiesActing as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologiesSharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifactsBasic Qualifications5+ years experience in Data Lake implementation, including Hadoop/Spark expertiseDemonstrated expertise in GenAI, including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and production deployment experienceStrong software development skills in multiple languages (Java, Python, R) with extensive ETL and data management experienceDeep understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem (Sqoop, Kafka, HDFS, etc.) and SQL-on-Hadoop technologies (Hive, Spark SQL) with proven experience in Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) architecturesStrong track record in implementing large-scale data warehousingIndustry experience in developing novel AI/ML solutions at scaleStrong track record in MLOps/LLMOps implementation and AI governancePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related fieldProven track record in implementing large-scale data warehousingPhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fieldAWS Professional and Specialty certifications such as Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, etc., with deep expertise in AWS data servicesAWS values diverse experiences and encourages candidates to apply even if they have alternative experiences.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
