System Engineer

Stellantis's Vehicle and Propulsion Controls organization is seeking a System Engineer to develop controls solutions for next generation Powertrain technologies. We are looking for a candidate with experience in controls and/or system engineering and a strong understanding of powertrain systems. It is our belief that no complex problem can be solved optimally in isolation, so the ideal candidate should prefer to work in dynamic environments with cross‑functional, diverse team members.Lead global stakeholders to identify requirements for new technologies and features for engine, transmission, and electrified propulsion systemsWork with multi‑discipline engineering teams to decompose and develop the controls system requirementsAct as the technical owner on propulsion control features for Stellantis global teams and suppliersManage and maintain requirements artifacts for the propulsion control systemEnsure system quality and robustness through use of tools such as DFMEA and DFSSSupport Controls, Calibration, and Validation teams during development and issue resolutionThe position could be based in Turin or Pomigliano D'Arco.Basic QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university2‑5 years of experience in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fieldsCapable of creating Logical and Physical SchematicsExperience authoring Requirements and specificationsWorking experience with Microsoft Office applicationsHighly motivated/self‑starter with proven leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related field from an ABET accredited universityPropulsion system experience, exposure, or trainingExperience in leveraging System Engineering methodology and Model Based Systems Engineering frameworkExperience with INCA, Matlab, Simulink, DOORS, and VisioExperience using CANalyzer or CANoeExperience with communication networks (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay, etc.)Company OverviewJoining us means joining a global company.
