Job Description Summary The Technical Field Customer Support will support our vision to become the partner of choice for customer‑focused solutions by delivering high‑quality, plannable services such as preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades. Deliver technical support and preventative maintenance on the assigned BD instruments and systems within the assigned region to guarantee customer satisfaction through outstanding service and mastery of reported incidents and customer requests. Demonstrate continuous and versatile learning by attending ongoing technical training to become proficient on relevant platforms in your region. Main responsibilities will include:On‑site support operational excellence Perform local technical support on the assigned BD instruments and systems as agreed in the customer service level agreements, including installations, deinstallations, relocations, certifications (IQ & OQ), and repairs Handle problems independently Remote support, diagnostics and troubleshooting Investigate, diagnose, troubleshoot and support the customer remotely for technical problems on BD instruments and systems that are not supported by the help desk Work with dispatch to prepare and schedule appropriate field visits when a remote solution is unobtainable Field corrective actions and preventive maintenance Prioritize, plan and execute field corrective actions, upgrades and preventive maintenance on all BD instruments and systems according to regulatory instructions and mandatory procedures within the predefined timeframe to ensure business continuity for the customer Pre‑installation Functional administrative reporting Maintain car stock Follow local procedures to report technical challenges that cannot be resolved Be prepared to retain ownership of escalated issues to deliver the potential solution once advised Quality compliance: Align with all quality, ISO, GMP and safety regulations as required by the organization and with the service levels agreed with the customer to always deliver outstanding qualityAbout YouGood level of English – A2 or B1 High School, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in electronic or electrical technology or biotechnology certification High motivation Availability to travel 100% of your time Two or more years of experience in the technical service of medical device companies Instrumentation Blood Analysis (Liquids) experience is an asset Remote support, diagnostics and troubleshooting Field corrective actions and preventive maintenance, devices installation Functional administrative reporting Quality compliancePreferably located near Bologna, with the possibility to travel across all Italian territory. Our target base salary range for this role is between €35,000 and €45,000 per year, complemented by a competitive bonus structure and a comprehensive benefits package.
