As the Head of Communications for Italy, you will play a pivotal, hands‑on role in shaping and executing Meta’s communications strategy across the country. You will lead both proactive and reactive communications for the Meta family of apps, collaborating with local and global teams to manage media relations, social‑first campaigns, and policy‑related press issues. In this role you’ll directly influence Meta’s reputation and brand presence in Italy.ResponsibilitiesShape and lead Meta’s communications strategy in Italy, setting clear priorities, defining success metrics, and ensuring measurable impactDrive proactive and reactive communications, providing strategic counsel and rapid response to complex issues and crisesDevelop and execute high‑impact campaigns to address brand reputation and key country priorities, while managing policy‑related press issues in partnership with EMEA Policy Comms and Public Policy teamsIdentify and pitch positive stories to secure ongoing, proactive media coverage for Meta and its products by collaborating cross‑functionally with local and global teamsDevelop and implement social‑first strategies across Meta’s channels, partnering with creators to maximize impactSupport and advise business leaders, preparing briefing materials and managing executive spokespeople for media engagementsManage external agencies to ensure effective and aligned execution of communications strategiesMinimum QualificationsProfessional fluency in both English and Italian, including advanced verbal and written communication skills in both languages12+ years of experience in external communications, corporate issues, and project managementDemonstrated success in executing media campaigns, crisis management, and building relationships with media and executivesExperience managing agencies and contractors, with a focus on scalable processes and measurable resultsProven existing relationships with Italian mediaTeam player with proven experience in project management and decision‑making skillsExperience working with, influencing, and presenting to executive‑level stakeholders (VP & C‑level)Proven ability to collaborate, influence others, and lead complex cross‑team projectsPreferred QualificationsBoth agency and in‑house experienceAbout Meta: Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
