Overview AWS Finance seeks a Finance Manager to support several EC2 Core businesses. This role is responsible for financial deliverables (Weekly Business Review, Monthly Financial Reviews, Operating Plans, pricing / discounts, etc.) and driving the business to find efficiencies to grow profit. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively and manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables across a matrixed organization. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders. Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations. Build financial models for new business concepts, make analytical judgments, and deliver data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change. Present financial summary and business insights to the business and finance leadership. Develop and standardize financial reporting packages. Drive continuous improvements in profitability, free cash flow, and operational efficiency. This role will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including Product Managers, Engineers and GMs, to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership. This role requires a self-starter and independent individual with strong financial modeling abilities, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations. Qualifications Basic: 5+ years of tax, finance or related analytical field experience; Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related analytical field (or related fields such as engineering, math, computer science). Preferred: MBA or CMA. 6+ years identifying and leading opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes. Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis, and working with stakeholders; forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis; data interpretation. Experience solving complex business challenges with financial models and recommendations with measurable impact. Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
