You could join our Global Supply Planning team to develop and implement our global supply strategy, or work with our Procurement Centre of Excellence team to negotiate and manage supplier relationships.About the RoleA packaging engineer has an active role in managing new NPI projects by collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities include creating packaging specifications for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary items.ResponsibilitiesDesign and development experience: create and develop packaging designs for new and existing products – including for e‑commerce business.Material selection: source and evaluate a variety of packaging materials with supplier support, considering cost, sustainability and performance.Specification and testing: develop packaging specifications and conduct trials to ensure packaging meets all requirements and regulations.Cross‑functional collaboration: work with teams such as marketing, category, R&D, quality and manufacturing to align packaging with product and shipping needs.Lead packaging material laboratory tests, packaging line trials and transport tests during the implementation phase.Project management: manage packaging projects, including timelines and budgets, from conception to production.Documentation: maintain all packaging‑related documentation and records.Identify and deliver packaging cost savings initiatives.Support the Quality team to improve consumer experience and customer requirements.ExperienceAt least 3 years in packaging business.Fluent in Italian and English.Skills for SuccessStrong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and testing procedures.Excellent communication, project management and problem‑solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with relevant software such as PLM, SAP and design software.Route–Course approach in problem‑solving.What We OfferWith inclusion at the heart of everything we do, we support our people at every step of their career journey, helping them succeed in their own individual way.
