This position requires the successful candidate report to a site location.Key Job ResponsibilitiesPerform server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required.Serve as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.Help train and onboard new team members.Physical RequirementsRegularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.Work in a 24/7 environment with primary responder rotation and after-hours support as needed.Work in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments.Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.1+ year(s) of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.1+ year(s) of computer networking experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a data center or other critical environment.Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.Understanding of network design, protocols and troubleshooting.Associate’s degree or 2+ years of professional or military experience in an IT related field.Note: Amazon is not able to provide sponsorship now or in the future for these positions. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,200/year in our highest geographic market.
