General Summary
This role reports to the Team Leader of the Aero Physical Testing Group or their designee and is based in Maranello, Italy. The role supports the delivery and contribution of departmental and organisational objectives. Responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operations within their area of responsibility, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance. Adherence to organisational policies and procedures, effective communication with line management, and a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive ways of working is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Role specific responsibilities:
Conduct Wind Tunnel realism studies, investigating the aerodynamic impact of factors such as WT tyres, aeroelasticity, model fidelity, and testing methodologies to improve WT testing representativeness and predictive accuracy.
Define, maintain, and develop Wind Tunnel maps and performance metrics, ensuring aerodynamic testing delivers meaningful information for development decisions, performance evaluation, and correlation activities.
Define, execute and analyse dedicated Wind Tunnel and bench experiments, translating results into actionable insights for aerodynamic development, performance assessment, and testing strategy.
Drive the application and advancement of aerodynamic measurement techniques, including pressure measurements, flow-field diagnostics, and other experimental methods to improve aerodynamic understanding.
Perform correlation studies across Wind Tunnel, Track, CFD, and benches, identifying discrepancies, improving testing realism, and establishing robust correlation metrics.
Build and maintain models, analysis routines, and software tools, ensuring compliance with company standards for software quality, model development, documentation, and maintainability.
Collaborate closely with Aero Development, Aero Performance, Aero Engineering, CFD, and Software groups to align methodologies and maximise aerodynamic performance understanding and correlation.
