The selected candidate will work on developing technologies for oceanographic applications within an interdisciplinary team of specialists in electronics, telecommunications, oceanography, and marine ecology.CMCC Foundation is a cross‑cutting scientific research centre on climate change and its interactions with the environment, society, the world of business, and policymakers. Our work aims to stimulate sustainable growth, protect the environment, and develop strategies for the adaptation and mitigation of climate change. CMCC pursues fundamental and applied science with utmost scientific integrity, prioritizing data‑driven science and providing data, information, and research results that can support informed public debate and decision‑making processes.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate on the design and development of electronic circuits for oceanographic applicationsCalibrate sensors and assist in the design of data acquisition systemsConduct soldering tasks (both through‑hole and SMD)Operate electrical measuring instruments and manage analog/digital electronics, power electronics, and optoelectronicsSupport the installation and maintenance of Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) in field operationsRequirementsBachelor Degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, or related fieldsProblem‑solving skills in engineering contextsInitiative in electronic design and developmentEffective teamwork and collaboration within an interdisciplinary teamTechnical KnowledgeProven experience in the design and development of electronic circuitsKnowledge of electronic design software (e.g., Eagle AutoDesk, Altium) and programming environments (e.g., keil uVision, STMCube, Arduino)Experience in at least one programming language (Python, C++, or Arduino)Additional Skills (desirable)Experience with embedded systems and renewable energy‑based electrificationFamiliarity with the installation and use of oceanographic instrumentationDuration, Compensation & BenefitsPosition will be based in Civitavecchia, ItalyAppointment period will be initially of 112 months starting from December 2025, with a gross annual salary range of 24 000 – 28 000 EurosWelfare package for minimum 12‑month contractFlexible working time as per internal policiesSupport during the immigration process, if neededProtected Category Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
