If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.Key job responsibilitiesMonitors the data centre Amazon facilities infrastructure platformServes as a Point of Contact for internal and external teamsAssists with the development of communication and escalation protocols designed to improve the team’s performanceContributes to outage post‑mortem analysisEnsures records are updated in a timely mannerAssists with coordination and communication during emergency recovery effortsAssists with the development of tools that will enhance the team’s performanceSupports a 24x7 environment (shift work may require weekends and holidays)Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see AGSVa ).Basic Qualifications2+ years of Electrical or Mechanical Experience1+ year of experience working with Building and/or Electrical Platform Management Systems2+ years of Experience in Data Centre Engineering/OperationsPreferred Qualifications3+ years’ experience working in a large‑scale data centre and 3+ years’ experience in a NOC or similarStrong verbal and written communication skills and strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access)Ability to maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting tools; ability to follow and complete support procedures, system documentation, issue‑tracking entries, root‑cause analysis, and complex problem‑solving skillsAcknowledgement of countryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
