We are seeking a Senior Oracle DBA with proven experience in managing mission-critical Oracle environments. The successful candidate will join a highly specialized team and take direct responsibility for the availability, reliability, and performance of database platforms. We are looking for a professional with a strong automation mindset, the ability to take full ownership of managed environments, and the capability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle Database environments across the entire lifecycle (Development, Test, and Production), taking full accountability for availability and performance.
• Lead database installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
• Drive proactive performance tuning initiatives and optimization strategies.
• Define and implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN.
• Design and manage high-availability architectures based on Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard.
• Coordinate the resolution of complex incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Promote an automation-first approach using Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Platform, and Application teams to ensure effective and integrated service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with operational and governance standards, including patch management, change management, and security requirements.
• Mentor and support Junior DBAs (G4), contributing to skills development and the overall growth of the team.

Technical Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database (19c/21c).
• Advanced expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Deep experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
• Proven experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard.
• Advanced knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
• Strong experience administering Linux/Unix systems.
• Excellent scripting and automation skills.
• Hands-on experience managing databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and/or AWS environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, including Ansible and Terraform.
• Knowledge of the Avaloq platform and banking industry systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools and solutions.
