The Data Center Technician position involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair as well as participating in an on‑call rotation. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. NOTE: Lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who relocate for this position.Key Job ResponsibilitiesPerforming server rack installations, hardware break‑fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, responding to operational incidents that impact service availability, and carrying out routine network, server hardware, and operating system repairs to contribute to the overall availability of AWS servicesServing as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractorsPerforming on‑call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activitiesContributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issuesHelping to interview, train and onboard new team membersPhysical RequirementsLifting and moving material up to 40 pounds eachWorking in cramped and/or elevated locationsBending, lifting, stretching, and reachingStanding and walking for up to 8+ hours a dayAscending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitationWork in an Industrial EnvironmentWork shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts)This role supports data centers in various operational stages. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
