Main responsibilities includeEnsure completion of project within the MHRs budget, schedule & quality targets; Contribute to the development and growth of team members; Contribute to the continual improvement of productivity and quality; Prepare work instructions/procedures/guidelines; Ensure 3D design compliance with modelling conventions, e.g. correct use of identified tools, application of correct LODs and company best practices; Coordinate 3D design work activities with in-house staff as well as other external entities; Produce drawings/models or schedule extractions for submissions, if required; Resolve daily modeling and systems coordination issues; Represent the team/group in internal and external meetings, as needed; Participate in and/or lead 3D model reviews for piping systems; Possess deep knowledge of Piping layout, Pipe routing, Support design, Stress Analysis, MTO, Material requisitions, Bid evaluation and 3D design best practices in BIM systems; Experience in leading Piping teams for the execution of FEED and Detail Engineering projects; Good knowledge of manpower planning, scheduling and man-hours estimations; Ability to analyze the design changes and estimate the extra hours and the relative impacts to the project schedule (if any); Develop and build external relations with client representatives, vendors, and subcontractors and interface closely with other discipline functions promoting Client Service Excellence We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.Here's what you'll needMechanical Engineering Degree or similar educational background is required; Minimum 15 years of experience in the Piping department of a well-structured organization; Management training/course/certification; Organizational skills to manage multiple activities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines respecting project requirements; Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design ideas and collaborate with team members and clients, internal and external; Ability of thinking out of the box to add value and generate optimization ideas; Good presentation and leadership skills, and troubleshooting approach guided by logical reasoning; Practical field and revamp project experience Willingness to travel for short periods Fluency in spoken and written English and very good knowledge of Italian (at least B2). Ideally, you’ll also haveExperience in piping systems for industrial plants, preferably in chemical, Biotech and pharmaceutical industry; Experience in using Navisworks and Bluebeam; Good knowledge of Autodesk Plant 3d modeling software; Knowledge of ISO Quality Management procedures.
