Field Service Engineer

Due to continued growth within the global service team, we have an exciting vacancy for a Field Service Engineer in North Italy.After completing a comprehensive training program, the role will include:Work on a stand-alone basis, maintain team spirit and share knowledge with colleagues.Having full responsibility, within a territory, to deliver world class service to our customersInstall, maintain, and use expert troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues on a variety of roundness and surface finish measuring instrumentsProvide remote call pre-qualification and attempt remote fix wherever possibleBe the focal point for customer issues and technical enquiriesDocument and report technical issues where necessaryProvide training as required to customers and local distributorsLook for opportunities and report wherever possibleEssential & Desirable Skills:Have a good grounding in mechanical/electronic or Multi-Disciplined EngineeringAbility to read, interpret and analyse schematics, assembly drawings and wiring diagramsIdeally, previous experience of working in a technical customer facing role however, recent graduates are welcome to applyInteract with and provide feedback to internal stakeholders including technical support teams, manufacturing, and R&DBuild trust relationships with our customersHave good computer skills including Microsoft OfficeHold a valid & clean driving licenseCan work alone while representing Taylor Hobson at customer sitesBe prepared to work flexible hours when requiredBe prepared to assist colleagues in other regions of the world when requiredSkills & Experience:High energy level with ability to take initiative.Experience within a matrix management environmentTeamwork oriented with collaborative style, pragmatic, multitasking, flexible.Computer fluent, with specific attention to e‑mail and Microsoft Office product skills; CRM and Service tools.Good communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact effectively.Follow set procedures but can identify when change is requiredRequirements:Mechanical/ electrical or electronic Service expertProven experience in high demand B2B customer service.Based in the following regions: Lombardia, Piemonte or Emilia RomagnaEnglish: good communication skills, Written and spoken.Strong customer service attitude with a critical mindsetGood planning and organisational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, self‑motivated and a team playerBenefits:When you join Taylor Hobson, we're committing to your future career.
