About the role
the Product Marketing Manager own the full product lifecycle for BYD Truck in Europe: market analysis and intelligence, benchmark, customer requirements, product specifications, positioning, value proposition, eMobility and Go to Market execution.
This role is the end‑to‑end product owner for BYD’s truck portfolio in Europe, integrating customer requirements, technical specifications, product positioning, and Go‑to‑Market execution into a unified and competitive product strategy. Acting as the primary interface between European customers, HQ product teams, and regional commercial functions, the Senior Manager drives product definition, competitiveness, commercial offering, and lifecycle performance — from concept validation to launch and continuous improvement — ensuring that BYD trucks meet market expectations and outperform key competitors.
Reports to: The Head of Product Marketing Truck & Bus.

Key responsibilities
· Product Strategy & Roadmap: define and steer the European product strategy, ensuring alignment with market needs, regulatory requirements, and competitive benchmarks.
· Customer & Market Insight: integrate customer requirements, operator feedback, and market intelligence into product specifications and positioning.
· Competitive Positioning: shape the value proposition and differentiation vs. European OEMs across segments and applications.
· Go‑to‑Market Leadership: lead GTM strategy, launch governance, and cross‑functional readiness with sales, service, engineering, and HQ.
· Lifecycle Ownership: manage product lifecycle from introduction to phase‑out, ensuring continuous competitiveness and commercial effectiveness.
· Commercial Enablement: ensure the truck portfolio is supported by strong sales tools, technical materials, and commercial catalogues.
Main duties:
· Collect, validate, and structure customer requirements from fleets, dealers, tenders, and key accounts.
· Translate market needs into product specifications, technical targets, and configuration guidelines.
· Coordinate with HQ product teams on roadmap, homologation, engineering changes, and technical development.
· Prepare product positioning documents, value proposition frameworks, and competitive benchmark analyses.
· Develop sales enablement tools: product sheets, technical documentation, catalogues, training materials.
· Support pricing strategy, TCO modelling, commercial offer definition (vehicle + charging + services).
· Lead launch readiness activities: product training, demo fleet planning, internal communication, GTM governance.
· Monitor product performance, customer satisfaction, and competitive landscape to identify improvement actions.
· Provide technical‑commercial support to regional sales teams and key
