For our Pisa office we are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer. The candidate will be involved in the electronic design of IDS Georadar products, whose main lines include Electromagnetic Locators, Interferometric Radars and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment. He/she will take part in the entire product lifecycle, from design to development to testing, production start-up and lifecycle management. Designing, developing, and testing electronic boards Resolving design, manufacturing, and supplier issues To maintain existing products and designs To prepare design related documentation To perform testing, validation, verification and troubleshooting on circuit board prototypes using lab equipment To oversee and perform customer return testing and suggest design improvements or corrective action based on evaluation of test data To define design requirements and work with external contractors for layout and other support activities when necessary Good written and verbal communication skills ~ Hands-on approach, whether it be building a prototype or performing testing with dedicated test benches ~ Strong grasp on fundamentals of circuit analysis and design ~ Significant experience in analog circuit design such as analogue front ends, signal conditioning systems and power management systems ~ Good knowledge of PCB design and layout considerations ~ Knowledge of laboratory instruments (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Power Meter, etc.) ~Familiarity with industry standards for analog circuit design Experience in Electromagnetic circuit design and EM propagation Experience in RF & Microwaves Circuits Design Expertise in the use of electromagnetic (EM) simulation software (HFSS) Basic knowledge of Labview or Python scripting Languages: Italian: excellent written and spoken skills English: good written and spoken skills Travel requirements: A very small part of working time may be spent traveling to:
