Science Communication Junior Officer - Horizon Europe Programme ICONS is a dynamic, inclusive and young working environment with a strong team culture. For our Science Communication department, we are looking for a Science Communication Junior Officer. You will learn to organise and implement the communication and dissemination strategy of EU funded projects – mainly HE- in multiple areas, including energy, smart cities, circular economy, bio-economy, health and sustainability. RESPONSIBILITIES Developing the communication strategies and plans of R&I projects, ensuring alignment between the communication objectives and the overall goals of the projects. Developing and delivering editorial content on the key project’s results and activities (website content, newsletters, press releases, articles, infographics, event reviews, scripts for videos,…) and presentations for both offline and online communication channels. Working in close coordination with the other members of the ICONS science communication team: graphic and web designers, social media and video makers, journalists. Identifying and managing relations with relevant stakeholders, organizing workshops and events. Monitoring and assessing the outcomes and impacts of the communication efforts, including analysis and reporting towards the project’s consortium and the EC. SKILLS For this position we look for dynamic, self-confident people with a collaborative approach. You should enjoy working in international and multi-cultural teams. We expect: Flexibility and strong team-working skills with a cooperative problem-solving attitude. Willingness to learn. Ability to load balance across multiple projects. Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Communication and presentation skills (both oral and written) in Italian and English (C1/C2 level or equivalent). Excellent writing skills. BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE University degree in communication, economic/social science, political sciences or science communication studies. Interest in science communication, Europe and sustainability. Communication and presentation skills (both oral and written) in Italian and English (C2 level or equivalent). Previous experiences in journalism will be considered as a plus. WORKING LOCATION Hybrid (Lodi office and remote working) CONTRACT We are seeking a student, a recent graduate, or a professional with some relevant experience who is motivated to join our team. ICONS is looking for professionals to collaborate on a long-term basis, either as VAT-registered consultants or employees. The terms of the contract and the offered salary will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and professional background.
