By leveraging our proprietary technology, we\'re building an ecosystem that is leading the industry into the 21st century.Senior Operations Supervisor – We\’re looking for a Senior Operations Supervisor to join our Operations team in Milan and support us in optimising and simplifying road freight in Italy and across Europe.As Senior Operations Supervisor you\’ll manage teams responsible for executing domestic and international transports and you\’ll be responsible for the department strategy, playing a leadership role in achieving the company\'s objectives. You\’ll be collaborating closely with the Country Manager, the Director of Commercial, and Procurement department to manage existing customers and activate new ones ensuring the best transport service and quality.What You Will DoManage your teams to ensure FTL transports coverage for open available freight using internal tools, external capacity resources, and learned sales techniquesImprove the relationship with our Key Suppliers and support the Procurement department in tender and contract evaluationSet and review KPIs and targets for the teams while ensuring adherence with company-wide goalsSupport the yearly budget definition and ensure periodic reports and analysis to the ManagementOrganise periodic meetings to present strategies results to the management, translating company directives into objectives and actionsSupervise the team in the execution of daily transports and support in handling all arising inquiries from carriers and customersWork with carriers and customers to implement projects and solve complex business challenges, identify opportunities and proactively identify solutionsWhat We Are Looking ForConfident in using data to analyse and track key metrics5+ years experienced in Road Freight with major focus on Full Truck Load transport, preferably with Freight Forwarding and Brokerage experience3+ years experienced in people management with at least 3 direct reportsUpdated on freight forwarding market dynamicsExperience in managing framework agreements with suppliersA great problem solver as well as a person with an entrepreneurial mindsetKnowledgeable on how to validate business opportunities (feasibility and sustainability)You speak and write Italian fluently (native level) and you are fully proficient in EnglishWhat You Can ExpectAt sennder, we want to maximize the individual potential of all employees and reinforce an inclusive culture and environment of continuous learning that empowers people to succeed as a team.
