Senior Site Development Engineer – Arup, MilanArup is a global firm dedicated to delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions. As a Senior Site Development Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of site infrastructures on technically demanding projects.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of the site infrastructure for complex projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Act as project lead in managing the service and directly interface with client teams.Liaise with clients from feasibility to completion to help set and achieve the design ambitions.Assist in defining site surveys and testing needed to acquire site specific data for the design.Develop the site infrastructure design through the stages, permitting and procurement process.Manage the supervision of civil construction works as part of the clerk of works team.Attend client meetings, produce bid documentation and engage in business development activities.Support the development of team members and share knowledge across the team.QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience within a consultancy environment.Chartered professional status or in the process of gaining the qualification.Strong technical design skills in surface water, foul water, energy, roads and carparks, earthworks, electrical and fibre utilities.Experience producing drawings, specifications and reports on time and within budget.Awareness of the Italian regulatory and planning framework and experience managing civil engineering projects through the planning process.Ability to lead and manage the design process from conceptual layout to detailed design and construction.Experience managing design interfaces (architectural, structural, geotechnical, landscape, mechanical, electrical).Passion for digital delivery, familiarity with BIM software and staying abreast of industry developments.Experience with Civil 3D/Revit, Navisworks, clash detection, hydraulic modelling software.Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organisational skills.BenefitsProfessional growth and development through continuous learning, training programs, and mentorship.Global opportunities to collaborate with colleagues worldwide and explore short‑term or long‑term assignments.Competitive salary and benefits package with a global profit‑sharing programme.Equal Opportunity StatementWe are proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer and are committed to building a workplace that reflects the rich diversity of the world around us.
