The Position:

The project manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.

The Project Manager coordinates the Cross Functional Project Team involving Corporate functions, Site Functions, R&D, and customers or third parties where applicable (Contractors and subcontractors).

The Project Manager defines and updates project plans (timeline, costs, risk, and communication) for internal use and for customers, relating to transfer projects, new launches, R&D projects (involving sites) or material source changes.

The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end project lifecycle, including idea evaluation for feasibility, business case definition, project execution, and closing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carries out feasibility assessments and business case development, including financial assessments in terms of investments, costs, and benefits of the project in collaboration with the functions involved in the project.
  • Defines project plans, monitors their execution, and updates them promptly at the start of the project.
  • Interfaces with suppliers and purchasing office and supply chain to verify lead times and production slots for technical batches or validation batches and finalizes purchase requests relating to services and materials for carrying out one-time project activities.
  • Interfaces with customers/internal stakeholders for technical/planning discussions relating to the project.
  • Drafts minutes relating to meetings.
  • Interfaces with the functions involved in the project to manage project issues and align on technical-commercial assumptions.
  • Drafts periodic reporting to management or to customers on project progress.
  • Updates the Company Project/Portfolio Informatic Management System with all relevant project plan data (costs, timeline, savings, risks).

  • Experience in project management (min 2 years)
  • Negotiation skills and team working
  • Risk management
  • Financial analysis and management of concepts such as return on investment, capital, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • degree in Chemical or Management Engineering, CTF, or equivalent
  • Previous experience in structured business contexts, experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in technology transfer projects, source changes, CMO projects
  • English language advanced level is a must
