Purpose of the position:
As Senior Cost Control Engineer you will be part of the Project Control and Project Risk management area, with direct responsibility for the economic and financial control of complex, high-value projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing project cost control activities, including cost monitoring, variance analysis, forecasting, and reporting, providing reliable support to Project Management and leadership. The role requires significant experience in complex projects, strong analytical capabilities, a high level of ownership, and effective collaboration with Project Managers, Project Controls, AFC, Procurement, Contract Management, and other internal and external stakeholders.How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
- Lead the project cost control system, ensuring robust budgets, reliable data and full alignment with procedures, company standards and contractual requirements;
- Monitor economic performance, actual costs, committed costs, accruals, progress and earned value, translating data and variances into clear, actionable insights;
- Prepare Estimate at Completion and periodic reports, providing timely and structured visibility on project economic performance;
- Support Project Managers and Management in key economic decisions, contributing to project targets, change and claim management, risk and opportunity analysis and mitigation scenarios;
- Act as a key point of reference for AFC, Procurement, Contract Management, Planning and project teams, promoting compliance, data traceability and a strong cost-control culture.
What are we looking for?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration). Professional Qualifications ideally in Cost Management, Project Management or Engineering.
- Experience: 5 - 7 years project controls experience as a Cost Controller. Understanding of the EPC projects
- Languages: Fluent in English
- Technical/IT Skills:
- Solid cost or project control experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering, Construction or large industrial projects;
- Proven ability to manage complex budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, cash flow, variance analysis, project and cost control processes, earned value reporting, and Cost and Work Breakdown Structures integrated with corporate systems;
- Familiarity with project accounting, accruals, invoicing, cash flow and AFC principles;
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, Excel and project reporting systems.
