Data and technology are at the heart of our culture, fueling our curiosity and innovation.The Opportunity: We are seeking a Director / Senior Director of Global Government Affairs to map, navigate, and shape regulatory landscapes across e-commerce, data, taxation, fintech, AI, and travel. This is a strategic, high-impact leadership role requiring a self-motivated, commercially minded policy leader who can operate across jurisdictions and cultures, anticipate regulatory risk, and enable sustainable business growth. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO), you will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to set priorities, engage governments, and position Agoda as a trusted partner globally.What You Will DoBuild and lead Agoda’s Global Government Affairs function with scalable structures, processes, and governance.Monitor, assess, and influence policy and regulatory developments across priority markets; identify risks and opportunities for growth and operations.Engage proactively with local, regional, national, and supranational authorities, regulators, and industry bodies to shape pragmatic, business-enabling policy outcomes.Partner with Legal, Tax, Compliance, Innovation, Supply, and other teams to develop coordinated regulatory responses to challenges and emerging threats.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders; develop briefing materials, engagement strategies, and messaging for government and stakeholder interactions.Manage external advisors and consultants with focus on value delivery and disciplined budget management.Design and deliver clear KPIs and reporting frameworks aligned with company priorities and risk management objectives.Protect and enhance Agoda’s reputation; ensure advocacy reflects the company’s values and commitment to integrity and responsible business practices.Who You Are10+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or related field; experience in technology, e-commerce, travel, hospitality, or fintech strongly preferred.Proven ability to build and scale functions in fast-growing or complex global organizations.Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and intellectually curious; capable in a fast-paced, flat organization.Strong understanding of business strategy, market dynamics, and regulatory risk.Experience working across multiple geographies; Asia experience or international exposure is highly desirable.Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in one or more Asian languages is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.Willingness to travel internationally.
