Job DetailsNational Sales Manager – ItalyLocation: Italy (national, field-based)Company: HaemoneticsThe RoleHaemonetics is seeking a commercially driven and strategic National Sales Manager to lead its Blood Management business in Italy, covering haemostasis management (TEG), Cell Salvage, and associated services.
This role combines strategic leadership, team development, and full commercial accountability, with a focus on driving sustainable growth and strengthening long-term partnerships across the Italian healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
As National Sales Manager, you will:Define and execute the national commercial strategy across capital, consumables, and service solutionsOwn revenue performance and AOP delivery across ItalyDrive a programmatic, Patient Blood Management (PBM)-led approach to unlock clinical and economic valueLead complex capital sales, tenders, and competitive conversion opportunitiesBuild and maintain senior relationships with clinicians, hospital management, procurement bodies, and regional decision-makersManage and optimise a network of agents and distributors, ensuring alignment to strategy, performance expectations, and brand standardsEnsure robust forecasting, pipeline visibility, and CRM disciplineWork cross-functionally with Marketing, Service, and EMEA leadership teamsTeam LeadershipYou will lead a multidisciplinary team, including:Territory Sales ManagersClinical SpecialistsBusiness Development Manager(s)In addition, you will have oversight of external commercial partners, including agents and distributors across key regions.
Key leadership expectations:Build a high-performance, accountable sales cultureAlign commercial activity with clinical adoption and utilisation growthDrive capability in programme-based and value-led sellingEnsure effective management, coaching, and performance oversight of agents and distributorsDevelop talent and ensure strong succession planningCandidate ProfileEssential ExperienceSignificant experience in medical device or healthcare sales leadershipProven ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams and indirect channels (agents/distributors)Strong understanding of the Italian healthcare system (regional structures, public tenders, procurement pathways)Demonstrated track record of delivering commercial growthExperience managing distribution networks and tender-based sales modelsPreferred ExperienceExperience in blood management, haemostasis, surgery, or critical care environmentsExposure to value-based / programmatic selling approachesKey CompetenciesStrong strategic and commercial acumenHigh credibility with clinical stakeholdersProven leadership and coaching capabilityAbility to navigate a regionally fragmented healthcare system and indirect sales channelsData-driven performance management and decision-makingAdditional InformationNational, field-based role with regular travel across ItalyRegular engagement with regional stakeholders, agents, and distributorsOccasional EMEA collaboration and travelPay Transparency The base salary actually offered to the successful candidate will take into
