OverviewWe are seeking a talented and analytical Data and Algorithm Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and implement efficient algorithms and data processing systems to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and decision-making processes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions that turn complex data into actionable insights.Main ResponsibilitiesEngage with customers and PS teams in order to understand their business needs and requirements to properly define software specificationsSearch and study for possible solutionsCreate algorithms and models in order to solve problemsPrototype the candidate algorithm and validate it via simulationsPartner with customers and PS teams to validate solutions with real dataImplement the selected solution into the ToolsGroup productsConduct Code ReviewSupport Quality Assurance for testing phaseSupport Technical Writers for technical manuals writingBug fixing and customer support when requiredActively seek out difficult impediments to our efficiency as a team (“technical debt”), propose and implement solutions that will enable the entire team to iterate fasterRequirementsGreat analytical and problem solving skills, high organizational skills and ability to prioritize and adapt to changes of tasks, teamwork attitude, accountability and good communication skills1-3 years of working experience in a similar positionMaster’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, knowledge of Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.Professional experience using .NET framework for data processing, specifically C# and PythonDemonstrably deep understanding of SQL and analytical data warehousesExperience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems is highly appreciatedExperienced with Control Version Systems (e.g. GitHub)Familiar with Continuous Integration systems (e.g., GitHub Actions) and Cloud based systems (e.g. Azure, AWS) is highly appreciatedAdditional requirementsComfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development processFluent level of Italian and English (C1) is a must.Ability to work in remote team environmentsOur people are the engine that propels ToolsGroup to innovate, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
