We have developed and are commercializing the first and only FDA and EC approved medicine for adults with desmoid tumors and the first and only FDA and EC approved medicine for both adults and children with neurofibromatosis type 1 associated plexiform neurofibromas (NF1‑PN). At SpringWorks, we are committed to finding answers people with rare tumors need, thriving in an atmosphere of passion and tenacity, fueled by the excitement of scientific possibilities and driven to work with urgency.Your RoleAs the Senior Medical Science Liaison for our newly acquired company, SpringWorks, you will play a pivotal role in driving operations and strategic growth within your designated area in Italy. You will manage a product(s) within a defined area, establishing and maintaining key scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across your territory, serving as a scientific expert to the medical community and facilitating the exchange of scientific information.Identify KOLs and establish and maintain strong and deep scientific relationships with KOLs across multi‑specialty disciplines, connecting to KOLs in academic and non‑academic centers at the local, regional, and national level.Serve as a scientific expert to the medical community and facilitate the appropriate exchange of scientific information.Communicate experts’ opinion and feedback on new data and clinical trends to Medical Affairs, translating this information into strategic recommendations to enhance science and advance patient care.Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator‑initiated research.Collaborate with the Clinical Operations organization to enhance patient enrollment in company‑sponsored clinical trials by identifying appropriate clinical trial sites, supporting clinical trial awareness, and interacting with investigators in ongoing studies.Serve as medical lead and provide scientific support at medical congresses, support national and European medical booth staffing, participate and lead clinical support, and facilitate medical discussions at advisory boards and local scientific/medical programs.Lead national projects such as national congresses and patient‑advocacy group (PAG) engagement, as delegated by Country or European medical leadership.Be familiar with country‑specific pharma rules and regulations, particularly as they apply to MSL activities.Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in academic, non‑academic, and healthcare provider settings.Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with regional and national strategy.Partner with cross‑functional teams, including HEOR/market access, to develop the strategy and generate health economic and outcomes data as needed, and present such data to relevant audiences.Serve as mentor for other new hires and/or less‑experienced MSLs.Manage/lead relevant medical activities/projects, including:Facilitate and lead field medical onboarding programs, and support training of commercial (including sales) colleagues.Support Country Medical Director in translating the medical affairs strategy to a national KOL engagement plan and ensuring the KOL development translates to individual territories.Partner with Global Medical Information colleagues to continuously improve Standard Response Letters and efficiency of the MIRF process.Contribute to the national, and as needed regional, medical strategy and medical plan.Provide scientific support to Regional Medical Director and facilitate medical discussion for national medical advisory boards.Other duties as assigned.Who You AreAdvanced scientific degree or equivalent experience required (MD, PhD, PharmD).Minimum of 5 years MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Rare disease experience preferred, particularly in Oncology and/or Neurosciences.Demonstrated mastery of effectively presenting clinical/scientific information.Fluent in both Italian & English.What we offerWe are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
