You will participate in European innovation projects, working closely with engineers, data scientists, and domain experts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys complex technical challenges, collaborative environments, and contributing to impactful software solutions. Key responsibilities Design and implement backend architectures for scalable applications Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices using Python Coordinate frontend and AI engineers to deliver end‑to‑end features Ensure code quality through documentation, testing, and code reviews Participate in calls and meetings to understand user requirements and define technical specifications Prepare technical reports and system documentation Provide solutions to any technical related issue during a project's lifecycle Requirements Computer Science or related field (Master's degree is a plus) 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development Strong hands‑on experience with: Python Flask, Django, or FastAPI Microservices architecture SQL/NoSQL Databases RESTful APIs Familiarity with: Git Docker Proven understanding of software engineering best practices and system design Preferred skills Experience with authentication, authorization, and security best practices Experience of distributed messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Previous involvement in EU‑funded R&D or Horizon Europe/H2020 projects Experience working in cloud or distributed environments General skills Excellent command of English (written and verbal) Analytical thinking and problem‑solving mindset Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to travel within Europe (up to 10%) Benefits Competitive compensation package Flexible remote working policy Inclusive and collaborative work culture Private health insurance Unlimited time off policy Opportunities for professional growth through European research collaborations, and workshops Note: By applying, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted our Privacy Notice for Job Applicants available on our website Seniority level: Associate | Employment type: Full‑time | Job function: Information Technology (IT Services & IT Consulting) #J-18808-Ljbffr
