Crypto Firmware Development Engineer

Overview
In this role you will develop cryptographic solutions for Infineon security devices and optimize them for secure, efficient embedded systems. You will collaborate with a global team to advance secure software, defend against sophisticated attacks, and enable trusted digital interactions. The work combines cryptography, embedded programming, and rigorous security practices to shape secure hardware-software ecosystems. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position with a clear mission to enhance hardware-level security at scale.

Responsabilità Develop cryptographic algorithms for embedded controllers with balance between security, code size, performance, and maintainability
Test, debug and optimize software on Infineon security devices
Implement test cases for automated regression testing
Conduct threat modeling, code reviews and documentation
Collaborate with a multinational team and engage in pair programming to deliver high-security solutions
Requisiti fondamentali Master in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or a similar field
3+ years of cryptography and embedded software development experience
Knowledge of side-channel attacks (DPA), DFA and probing attacks with corresponding countermeasures
Embedded microcontroller programming with ARM Cortex using assembler, C, and OO techniques
Proven experience implementing symmetric, asymmetric, hash-based, or post-quantum cryptographic algorithms
Experience with security measures in microcontrollers and/or circuit design
Fluency in English; German a plus
