Freelance Clinical Research Associate (CRA) – Cardiology Medical Devices 12-Month Freelance Contract (Direct with Sponsor) Location:Italy (must be based in Italy) Start Date:ASAPAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experiencedFreelance Clinical Research Associate (CRA) with a strong background incardiology medical devicesto support a high-priority clinical program. This role is contracted directly with the sponsor and focuses on acceleratingStudy Start-Up (SSU) activities, conductingSite Initiation Visits (SIVs) , and managingClose-Out Visits, along with routine monitoring responsibilities as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary point of contact between study sites and the sponsorDrivefast and efficient SSU activities, ensuring activation timelines are metConductSite Initiation Visits (SIVs) andClose-Out Visitsaccording to the study planPerform on-site or remote monitoring, ensuring compliance with the protocol, GCP, ISO 14155, and regulatory requirementsVerify source data, device accountability, safety reporting, and protocol adherenceSupport site staff with troubleshooting and provide ongoing training related to the cardiology deviceMaintain accurate and up-to-date study documentation and reportsCollaborate closely with the sponsor’s clinical and regulatory teams to ensure alignment on study progress and site performanceIdentify and escalate risks, deviations, or site issues promptlyRequired QualificationsBased in Italywith full ability to work as an independent freelancerMinimum 3–5 years CRA experiencewithin medical device clinical researchProven experience conducting SIVs and Close-Out Visits independentlyAbility to manage multiple sites and timelines efficientlyExcellent communication skills in Italian and EnglishStrong organizational skills with the ability to support accelerated SSU timelinesPreferred SkillsExperience in early-phase or post-market cardiology device studiesAbility to work autonomously and proactively in a fast-moving environmentWhy Join?
