Role Overview Thisisastrategicandhands-on role. Wearelookingforsomeonewhocan: Understandtheoverallbusinessmodel ofEscapeCampus(schools+online+EdTech) Takeownershipoffinancialplanning,cashflow,anduniteconomics Leadandoptimiseourfundraisingefforts (VCs,angels,grants,publicfunds,accelerators) HelptheCEOtomakedata-drivendecisionsongrowth,investments,andprofitability YouwillworkcloselywiththeFounder&CEO andcoordinatewithouroperations,productandsalesteams. Key Responsibilities Designandmaintainthefinancialmodel ofEscapeCampusGroup(P&L,cashflow,forecasts,scenarios). Analyseandimproveuniteconomics (customeracquisitioncosts,lifetimevalue,marginsperproduct/country,etc.). Leadandstructurethefundraisingstrategy : Identifyandprioritiserelevantinvestors,fundsandgrantopportunities Supportinpreparingpitchdecks,financialslides,businessplansanddatarooms Joininvestormeetingsandhandlefinancial&businessduediligence Implementorimprovebasicfinancialprocessesandreporting : Monthly/quarterlyreporting Budgetingandbudgetvs.actuals Cashflowmanagementandrunwayplanning Adviseoncorporatestructure,subsidiariesandcross-countryoperations (UK,Spain,Italy,Colombia)withourlegal/accountingpartners. SupporttheCEOinstrategicdecisions (pricing,productmix,hiringplan,costoptimisation,expansion). Ensurecompliancewithbasicfinancialregulationsandgoodgovernance practices. Requirements ProvenexperienceasCFO,FinanceDirector,HeadofFinance orsimilarinastartuporscale-up (EdTech,SaaSoreducation-relatedsectorsareaplus). Strongskillsinfinancialmodelling,forecasting,anduniteconomics . Demonstratedexperienceinfundraising (equity,convertibleinstruments,grants,publicfunding,accelerators,etc.). Abilitytotranslatenumbersintoclearstrategicrecommendations fornon-financialstakeholders. Comfortableworkingwithdistributedoperations acrossmultiplecountriesandcurrencies. Hands-on,pragmatic,abletoworkwithlimitedresources inanearly-stageenvironment. ExcellentEnglish (spokenandwritten). Nice to Have ExperienceinEdTech,education,ortrainingbusinesses . Experiencewithgrant/publicfundapplications (innovation,digitalisation,education). FamiliaritywithUKandEUstartupecosystems (investors,programs,instruments).
