Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. Key job responsibilities Measure, validate, and perform root‑cause analysis on phased array systems and sub‑systems Interface with standard RF equipment to enable automation and efficient data collection Create and/or modify new software features to enable testing of standard phased array system metrics such as EIRP, EVM, and G/T Act as a liaison with the Leo software team to drive new product requirements based on RF system test needs Perform end‑to‑end modeling, simulation, and analysis of digital phased array systems Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience 3+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience Experience with RF lab equipment including VNA, power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators Experience with Hardware/Software system bring up and debugging BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in digital communication theory, digital signal processing, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas and Electromagnetic theory Preferred Qualifications MS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of professional experience or PhD with 5+ years of professional experience Experience in RF system design, line‑up analysis, digital modulation, radio architecture Experience with simulation tools such as SystemVue, ADS or LabView Excellent mathematical and problem‑solving skills Highly accurate and detail‑oriented Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
