The Oliver Wyman Insurance practice uniquely combines deep strategy expertise, a thorough quantitative understanding and rich implementation experience. We provide specialist knowledge across the entire insurance value chain—from top‑level strategy to finance, risk and operations. WHAT YOU WILL DO As an Associate, you will break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identify key aspects of a problem and direct junior consultants’ focus. You will plan and execute analysis, identify core issues in complex analyses, and craft suitable recommendations. You will work side by side with clients and project team members to move projects forward, manage small teams and provide unique insight into the subject area you have chosen. As a Principal, you will provide day‑to‑day leadership of complex client projects, manage aspects of the client relationship and commercial process, and team with Partners. You will ensure on‑time delivery that meets or exceeds agreed goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice and your own expertise. You will become a trusted advisor to senior clients, influencing their thinking and being viewed as an expert in your content area. WHAT YOU WILL BRING We are looking for high‑caliber individuals who want to join our winning team. Preference will be given to candidates with:6‑10 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top‑tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization) In‑depth knowledge of the insurance sector Strong analytical and synthesis skills, and the ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings Fluency in English and Italian (required) An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program Willingness to travel Initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and apply existing ones Creativity, ready to develop novel ideas for clients’ biggest problems Aptitude for analytical work, such as mining massive data sets or uncovering key issues in complex challenges A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our talented teamWHY WORK AT OLIVER WYMAN At Oliver Wyman, you will do meaningful work from day one in a global entrepreneurial environment.
