This is a highly exposed role, working closely with senior commercial and operational leaders and acting as a trusted partner on major spend decisions.This opportunity suits someone who is as comfortablein front of senior stakeholdersas they are deep in strategy, negotiation, and supplier management.What you’ll be responsible for: Acting as a procurement partner to commercial, marketing, and operational stakeholders Translating business priorities into clear sourcing and category strategies Influencing decision-making across local, regional, and global teams Leading complex negotiations and managing high-value supplier relationships Driving value beyond cost - quality, service, innovation, risk mitigation Overseeing contractual frameworks and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards Supporting the deployment of global procurement initiatives within the Italian market Contributing to process optimisation, governance, and continuous improvement Operating confidently across indirect spend areas (e.g. commercial services, marketing, professional services, workplace solutions)This is ahands-on role with real autonomy , sitting within a mature but evolving procurement model.What they’re looking for: Experience in procurement or commercial roles withinlarge, complex organisations(FMCG or similar scale retail/parallel environments preferred) Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability - this will be assessed carefully Proven success leading negotiations and managing strategic suppliers Ability to operate across multiple categories and ambiguous problem sets Solid understanding of procurement governance, contracts, and risk Confidence working in a multinational, matrix environment Professional presence - someone credible at senior leadership level Fluent English and ItalianThis role is strategic, with high complexity and excellent growth potential - but it isnot leading people.Why this role stands out: One of themost strategically important European marketsfor the organisation Exposure to senior leadership at local, regional, and global level Company: a reputation for internal mobility, state-of-the-art functionality and accelerated career progression A culture that values rigour, professionalism, positivity and long-term careers Hybrid working on paper, but best suited to someone who enjoys being present and visibleThis is not a “back-office” procurement role - it’s abusiness-facing, high-impact position
