Service Engineer– Condition Monitoring
A global engineering and reliability services organisation is seeking a Diagnostics Engineer to join its Italian condition monitoring team.
This role supports major energy and process industry clients across Italy and wider Europe, delivering vibration-based diagnostics, reliability insights, and rotating equipment support.

The position is hybrid, based from one of the company's Italian offices (Milan or another regional site) with flexibility to work from home, alongside site and offshore support as required.

The Role
You will be responsible for analysing condition monitoring data, producing technical reports, and providing clear recommendations to improve equipment reliability and plant availability.
The focus is on rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and associated systems.

This is a hands-on, technical role rather than data collection only — you will be involved in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and working directly with client operations and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse vibration and condition monitoring data
Produce technical reports with actionable recommendations
Support clients remotely and on site across Italy
Carry out specialist diagnostics (balancing, fault finding, orbit analysis, etc.)
Contribute to the continuous improvement of CM programmes
Support and advise client engineering and reliability teams About You

Engineering background or equivalent experience
ISO 18436-2 Category II (Category III an advantage)
Experience in vibration analysis of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)
Comfortable producing technical reports and engaging with clients in English
Experience with CMMS and monitoring systems such as SAP, Maximo, AMS, or similar is beneficial Why This Role
