Live-in Nanny

Our client, residing in Casatenovo, just outside of Milan, Italy, is seeking a Live-in Nanny to assist with the care of their 6 children. The children are aged between 1 and 10 (5 of which will be in school most of the day). You will be working alongside a team of staff: 2 Housekeepers, 1 Butler/Driver and 1 House Manager/Cook/Driver. Responsibilities include: Coordinating weekly schedules for the children with other staff members Preparing nutritious meals, snacks and purees for the younger children when required Cleaning and tidying the children’s quarters and supervising housekeepers Giving the children a bath Arranging play and activities for the children, including but not limited to developmental, educational, social and appropriate outdoor activities Washing and ironing the children’s clothes and occasionally their bed linen, cleaning their shoes Wardrobe management, including labelling of clothes, pack/unpack etc All nursery duties including putting away the children’s toys, tidying their bedrooms, changing and making their beds, sterilising bottles and toys etc Dropping off and collecting the children from nursery/school /activities if required Supervising homework and reporting to employer on school/nursery matters Facilitating and encouraging friendships between children and their respective class mates Taking the children to doctor’s and dentist’s appointments Ability to travel with the family on holiday Proxy – parenting and babysitting as required by the Employer Candidate requirements: English speaking Ideally with a driving license and confident driving in the EU EU passport/permit to work in Italy Experienced working within a similar position Flexible to travel when required Knowledge of the British Curriculum Working days/hours: 10 hours per day, 5.5 days per week.
